This track was created in Acid Pro 7, using an acoustic version of the original track by the Deftones. Pentagon Synth was used for the basslines, layered with different bass and midrange notes. The drums were all chopped/quantized heavily for precise time signature, and the original recording had to be chopped to sync up with the tempo perfectly because acoustic/live recordings of tracks are rarely recorded while synced to a metronome. The Deftones for live shows and in their recordings often use electronic samples and elements though, so they are usually easier than other traditional bands to time sync. Its important to pick acoustic recordings that have no drums in them for the best end result when remixing. The track was engineered with headphones first, then EQ'ed on open air studio monitors [M-Audio BX8's]. The track was finalized with soft compression, to even out peaks and to gently raise soft spots in volume. If you have any other questions about the production please ask. :D
